Khel: Vichitra Daud (See Video link below)
This khel is a type of running race with changing style of running.
Children are standing apart in horizontal straight line (start line). Some distance distance away from the start line, two more lines are drawn - Middle line and Finish line. Middle line is halfway between start line and finish line. Children should be instructed to change direction while crossing middle line in whatever style they are running. For example : while going from start line to middle line they can run forward then from middle line to finish line they need to change direction and run backwards.
Once they they reach finish line, they can jump/hop forward to the middle line or run forward on one leg to middle line and then change direction to hop/jump/run-on-one-left backward and come back to start line.
The game can be played with various style of running such as frog-jumping, crawling, moving forward on 4 legs (2 hands/2 legs etc). If there are smaller aged children, ensure that appropriate style of running is chosen.
At the end of the game, Shikshika should say ""Kaun Jeeta" and children to collectively chant : "Balbharati Jeeta"
